Possible ferry routes
Only Ilfracombe is suitable for the North Devon port. Bideford Quay, being tidal, would not accommodate a light vehicle ferry operating to a consistent timetable.
On the Welsh coast, there are Fishguard, Pembroke, Swansea, Barry and Cardiff as possible destinations.
The south-east of Ireland offers Cork, Youghal and Rosslare.

Estimated sailing times
I have estimated these times by looking at roughly equivalent distances by other ferries. Much depends on local circumstances - how much is open sea sailing and how much is estuary and docking. If anyone can provide more accurate figures, please contact me using the your say page.
